Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, the 13th Head of State of Nigeria and
his wife Turai.
The Nigerian flag was designed in 1959 by then student
Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi. The green areas of the flag symbolise the forest and
natural wealth of Nigeria, while the central band of white symbolises peace.
